The airport is at Karipur, 23 km from Kozhikode town. There
are flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and the Gulf
countries. The railway station is linked to all importannt
cities and tourist centres in the region. The KSRTC bus stand
has regular buses.

Museum
It is just 5 km from Kozhikode town. This museum
has an extensive collection of artifacts that range from ancient
coins, bronze objects, copies of ancient murals etc.
Art Gallery
The Art Gallery is adjacent to the Pazhassiraja Museum. The art gallery has a collection of Raja Ravi Varma’s paintings. This gallery holds an important position in the Indian art circle because of its association with Raja Ravi Varma. It is said that he was the first Indian painter to make use of oil colors. The paintings of this great artist generally revolve around the depiction of mythological events, royal portraits and day-to-day life.
Manachira Square
Manachira sq was the former courtyard of the Zamorins.
It is located in the heart of the city. The personal belongings
of this legendary political figure have been displayed in
this museum.
