Thriprayar Temple, located south of Thrissur inherits a rich mythological heritage. This ornamented architectural temple is a home dedicated to Lord Rama. The delicate wood carvings, fine sculptures and artistic mural paintings enhance its charisma. The annual temple festival is held during the months of November or December. It includes a parade of 17 beautifully decorated elephants. The Onam festival in the months of August or September, also include an annual snake boat race. Buses ply regularly to Thriprayar from the Shakthan Thamburan bus stop.
