Day 01: Cochin
On
arrival Cochin airport/railway station meet our tour representative
who will escort you to the cab. Board the cab and drive to
the Hotel. Cochin is one of the important tourist destinations
in Kerala. Cochin popularly called as the 'Queen of the Arabian
Sea'. The cluster of islands and the narrow peninsula makes
it a unique place. It was earlier a famous seaport and the
influence of the Chinese, Jew and the Arabs can be easily
witnessed in the culture of the natives in Cochin. Check in
hotel and later on move out for the local tour. Visit the
famous Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Fort Cochin, Jewish
Synagogue, St.Francis Church - the oldest church in India,
etc. Later on return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Cochin - Munnar
Morning after breakfast, board the cab to enjoy the drive
along the tea plantation to Munnar. Munnar the famous hill
stations in Kerala. The unending tea and spice plantation
attract and welcome the tourists. Munnar is situated at the
confluence of three mountain streams. It was earlier the famous
summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers. On reaching
Munnar check in hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day
03: Munnar
Morning after breakfast, drive out for the local tour of Munnar.
Visit the echo point, Eravikulam national park, Mattupety
Lake, Devikulam, Anaimudi Peak - the highest peak in south
India, etc. Later on return back to the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 04: Munnar - Thekkady
Morning after breakfast, drive to Thekkady also called as
Periyar. It is a famous Wildlife sanctuary in Kerala. The
chain of hill and the spice plantation here welcome the travellers.
On reaching Thekkady check in hotel and later on move out
for the local tour of Thekkady. Visit the Periyar wildlife
sanctuary. One can view the wild elephants, tigers, Sambar
deer, jungle cats, sloth bear, varied species of birds, etc.
Later on return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Thekkady - Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast, drive to Kumarakom. It is the famous
backwater destinations in Kerala which is situated on the
Vembanad Lake. It is also a part of Kerala's rice bowl, the
Kuttanad region and is ideal for the backwater cruises. Kumarakom
is also famous for the Kumarakom bird sanctuary which houses
varied species of birds like the herons, teals, waterfowls,
cuckoos, wild ducks, egrets, Siberian storks, etc. On reaching
Kumarakom check in the backwater resort and later on move
out to visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary. Later on return
back to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day
06: Kumarakom - Alleppey (Houseboat Cruise)
Morning
after breakfast, board the traditional houseboat also called
as Kettuvallam in Malayalam. These houseboats are made out
by tying together the anjali wood by coir ropes and by not
using even a single nail. These houseboats have the amenities
of a star hotel. It comprise of a kitchen, bathroom, sit out
area, balcony and at times more than one bedroom also. The
crew in these houseboats consists of a boatman, oarsman and
a cook. Enjoy the fascinating cruise from Kumarakom to Alleppey
and back to Kumarakom which lasts for nearly 22 hours. Spend
the night in the houseboat.
Day 07: Kumarakom - Cochin
Morning after breakfast, check out of the houseboat and board
the cab to drive to Cochin airport or railway station to proceed
towards your onwards destination.
